General Vacation Rental Information and Policies

Check-in begins at 4:30 p.m. Check-out is 11:00 a.m.

Rate Policy

Rates quoted are per night and are subject to state tax and a resort service fee. All rates and information are subject to change without notice. A minimum two-night stay is required for ALL weekend stays at our Lake Superior resort. A two-night minimum stay is required May to end of October. Holiday stays require a three-night minimum and are calculated on the Holiday season rates.

Midweek Stays – Midweek rates apply to reservations Sun-Thurs, except for holidays or for reservations that include Thurs/Fri or Sat/Sun.

Weekend Stays – Weekend rates apply to both nights for reservations that include Thu/Fri, Fri/Sat, Sat/Sun. All weekends require 2 nights, except during holidays, when 3 nights are required (see below for details).

Holiday Stays – Holidays (see dates below) require a 3- night stay; each night calculated at weekend rates. No coupons or discounts apply during this time.

Weekly rates – A reservation of 7 or more nights receives one night free. (Free night taken on lowest rate in effect during that time.) Arrivals cannot be on Saturday.

Housekeeping – Cottage units include all the linens and a supply of towels for your stay however, no daily linen or cleaning service is provided. Housekeeping service can be provided for an additional charge.

General

  • Maximum unit occupancy allowable is stated on rate sheet under the room descriptions after each unit.
  • Charges may apply for additional guests.
  • All our units are non-smoking units. A fee will be assessed for anyone smoking in a unit.
  • No pets allowed.

Deposits – One night’s deposit by credit card (V, MC, AmEx, Discover) is required at time of reservation with following exception: Week stays or longer require a 50% deposit by credit card at time of reservation. We will take a credit card imprint or $300 in cash or check at checkin for a damage deposit. If no damage occurs, the credit card imprint will be destroyed or the cash/check will be returned within seven days after check-out.

Cancellation Policy – Cancellations made 14 days or more before non-holiday arrival will be refunded deposit less $50 bookkeeping fee. For cancellations less than 14 days before arrival, deposit is nonrefundable. Christmas/New Years reservations are non-refundable after December 1st. If cancelled prior to that, deposit is refundable less $50 bookkeeping fee.

Cancellation policy for the Grandmas Marathon Weekend. For stays during Grandmas Marathon, cancellations made after April 1, the room deposit is forfeited.

We do not accept cancellations due to weather. We do not accept cancellations over the internet via email.

All rates are subject to a resort service fee, and applicable local and state taxes.
